There will be some changes to this blog in the very near future. I’ve decided to switch over to WordPress. The process will take a few days at the least, so I wanted to warn everyone that this blog can be reached at http://tatro.typepad.com until the changeover is complete. However, if you try to go to http://www.erictatro.com, you may be encountered with a "work in progress" as I set up the domain on a new host. When the new site is up, my RSS feed will change, as well, as I’ll be setting up my feed through Feedburner.
Why the switch?
Well, first, let me say I think Typepad is a fine service, and has been good for me to get a blog up and running. However, I’ve had the opportunity to work with WordPress blogs for the past couple of years, and just feel more comfortable with it. It’s also extremely flexible, and an excellent value (it’s free), even when you add in the cost of hosting.
Does anyone have any tips for making the switch from Typepad or Moveable Type to WordPress?
