Well, it’s official. I’ve left Detroit and I’m now living in Chicago.
Last Friday was my final day at the hospital, which was kind
of tough, since I really enjoyed working there. I was fortunate to learn a
great deal about public relations and work with some terrific people during my
time there. However, this is a move I’ve wanted to make for a long time
It’s a bit of a gamble, since I don’t currently have a job,
but I’ve been able to interview with some great organizations and meet with
really interesting, talented people. I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.
If any Chicago folks (PR or otherwise) would like to drop me an e-mail or comment with any advice
on things I should see or do in the city, please let me know!
Definitely check out Wicker Park. Definitely hit the bars in Wrigleyville. Definitely have a picnic in Millenium Park.
Chicago is such an awesome city. I too am looking to move and work in PR there. But I’m not there yet.
So enjoy all you can in the outdoors before winter hits.
Funny you mention Wicker Park- I’m actually living there! It’s a very interesting neighborhood. I’m loving the good record stores and music venues located within walking distance.
Owen, when you get out to Chicago, please drop me a line!
