There’s an interesting article on Local Tech Wire that deals with what the author claims, "Most PR firms don’t want you to know." While I’m not sure that sentiment applies to all of the points he makes, I will say that the article is a well-written primer for those who aren’t familiar with the public relations industry. Plus it’s good to know that I’m not alone when he writes, "Even the best PR professionals find media pitching unnerving and even scary."
Worth a read, particularly for someone who’s "fresh" to the world of PR or not familiar with the valuable role PR can play in an organization’s success.
